Back in February 2007, i decided to form my own baton twirling troupe. I had twirled for over 20 years and taught girls since i was 14.
I gave up teaching back in 2003, and since then, missed it alot and never did lose 'The twirling bug'.
Little did i know that back in March this year when i held my 1st open training session, that i would be blessed with such great, enthuiastic and lovely girls, whom have
now formed the brilliant, Benfleet Starlight Twirlers.
I didnt think that the troupe would be ready to compete in competitions for at least a year, but we took part in our 1st one in May. Since then, we have competed in 4
ABTUK Comps, and come away with amazing results. Over 50 individual awards have been won, and 15 Team awards. WOW!!
I must thank my 2 fabulous assistant teachers - JO & KAREN. You have been great help, and the girls love ya!!
To ALL THE PARENTS (who have now also caught 'The twirling bug'). thankyou for your support, Each of you play a major part in our troupe.
To my better half GRANT, and to my gorgeous little boy MATTHEW , how do u both put up with me?? Twirling this, and twirling that!! Thankyou, for being so
understanding and interested in how everyone did!! Grant also taught me how to build this website and cut my music professionally!!! Thanks to both of you, Love u loads xxxxx

Thats all i have to say right now. Just that im very happy and proud, and extemely thankful - to everyone involved in STARLIGHTS.
What a great achieving year. Lets keep it up - but remember to keep having fun and enjoy it. Thats all i ask.
