Starlights have won over 40 Team trophies and over 100 individual Trophies since we began- (Within just 18 months).
The members have so much fun at competitions and our main emphasis is on enjoyment, taking part and team support. They arrive with a smile and leave with a smile! We are all very proud of each and every one of them!

The Benfleet Starlight Twirlers, were formed in March 2007, By corp director / trainer Lisa Johnson.
They proudly joined the A.B.T.U.K Baton Twirling association, and have gone on to win over 200 awards in individual and Team events.
Starlights have also performed on the ESSEX FM stage at the Castle point show last summer. They were also invited to perform at many school summer fetes, which the girls really enjoyed.
In November 2007, the troupe were awarded with 3 A.B.T.U.K PERPETUAL AWARDS, which were:
The Len Thompson memorial award
Outstanding team performance
2nd in overall Team events.
This summed up the fantastic year that the team had.
All of the members are aged between 4-14 years old. The achievements that were received by the girls in 2007 were outstanding.

At the beginning of 2008, some of our members entered the NBTA National Baton Twirling Association, all of our members who competed have qualified for the National Championships, held in Torbay, Devon in October this year!!
We returned from the nationals at the beginning of November 2008. With 2 National championship titles, and 12 more individual / team awards.
The starlight twirlers were also awarded most promising team 2008.

We returned again in 2009 for the National Championships, and won 2 individual National championship titles, and 3 TEAM national titles. with many of our girls achieving top 6 places in their individual events.
